Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using our website and services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pool Leak Inspections website at poolleakinspections.com and any leak detection, repair, or related services we provide. By using our site or hiring us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Pool Leak Inspections ("we", "us") provides pool and spa leak detection, related diagnostic services, and repair services in Los Angeles and Ventura County, California. A leak inspection typically includes:
- Pressure testing of pool plumbing lines
- Sonar Technology acoustic listening
- Visual inspection of skimmers, lights, fittings, and shell
- Dye testing of suspected leak locations
- A written report with the location of any leak(s) found and a repair estimate
Repair work is a separate service. We will provide a written estimate before any repair work begins, and will not start repairs without your approval.
2. "If We Can't Find Your Leak, It's Free" Guarantee
Our inspection guarantee means: if our technician completes a full inspection of an accessible, filled, and operational pool or spa and is unable to locate any leak source, there is no charge for the inspection visit. The guarantee applies when the pool is filled to normal operating level, the equipment is running, and our technician has reasonable access to the pool area, equipment pad, and plumbing. The guarantee does not cover situations where the inspection cannot be completed due to factors outside our control (for example, unsafe conditions, empty or drained pool, no water or power, or denied access).
3. Pricing & Payment
Current published inspection prices are:
- Pool leak inspection โ $225
- Spa leak inspection โ $250
- Combined pool & spa inspection โ $275
Repair prices are quoted separately and depend on scope. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Prices may change; the price quoted in writing at the time you book is what you'll pay.
4. Scheduling & Cancellation
We do our best to offer same-week appointments and honor confirmed times. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the slot to another customer. Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a trip fee.
5. 90-Day Repair Warranty
Repairs we perform are warrantied against defects in workmanship for 90 days from completion. The warranty covers the specific repair we made. It does not cover new, unrelated leaks, damage caused by ground movement, freezing, improper chemical use, equipment failure outside our work, or alterations made by another contractor. To make a warranty claim, contact us within the 90-day period โ we'll come back and make it right.
6. Limitations & Disclaimers
Leak detection is a diagnostic service and relies on acoustic, pressure, and visual findings at the time of inspection. While we use professional equipment and methods, intermittent or very small leaks may not always be detectable on a single visit, and multiple leak sources can exist in one pool. We'll tell you honestly what we found.
Repairs performed by other contractors, pool builders, or homeowners are outside the scope of our warranty.
Except for our 90-day repair warranty and the inspection guarantee above, services are provided "as-is" to the fullest extent allowed by California law. Our total liability for any claim arising out of services provided is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service at issue.
